Project about those who have or still do self-inflicted cutting. It artistically shows the body and scaring, combine it with more about the mental aspect of why. The model will reflect on it in their own words/poem/phrase (depending on what best communicates it by them).

The cutters project is meant to be artistic showing the body and scaring in a way where it is beautiful and somehow to combine it with more about the mental aspect of why (The model will reflect on themselves)… it could be short paragraph, poem, whatever the model believes will communicate a message to those seeing it. The whole concept is not meant to condone or disapprove but more about awareness. My hope is that on seeing the final collection, those who feel it is a part of them won’t feel alone, those who never have seen will be made more aware and maybe bring more context around how sometimes internal feelings reach an outward manifestation on those that do this.
